Jane Renae Wassom's Obituary
Jane Renae Wassom, age 65, passed away October 25, 2023 in Wichita, KS.
Jane was born on August 28, 1958 in Independence, KS to Roland Blackburn and Gladys Black. She was later adopted by Rowland Jones. She married Mark Spain, and they later divorced. She then married David Hickock and they were married until his death. Jane then married the love of her life, Sam Wassom and was happily married until his passing in July 2012.
Jane is preceded in death by her mom and dad, Rowland and Gladys Jones; sisters Dianna Morrison and Iown Adamson, and brother Glen Backburn.
She is survived by her children: Lacie Spain and Donald Payne, Julie Reddick, Adam and Kelsey Spain
Grandchildren: Dionne and Leilani Payne, Payton Crigger, Tierney Spain and Shelvin Raynor, Lakin and Harper Spain
Great Grandchildren: Talon and Ivy Crigger
Sister, Rowlinda Justus
Best friends: Ronda and Hunter Ballew, Kim and Lonnie Salter
Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close loved ones.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date and she will be buried with the love of her life, Sam.
