Janice LaRue Birdsall's Obituary
Janice LaRue Birdsall, 75, of Chanute, KS passed away on August 23, 2018 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. She was born in rural Centerville, IA on May 15, 1943 to Earl and Irene (Sharp) Henderson. Janice married Arthur Robinson in 1962 in Allerton, IA. They later divorced. In 1977, she married Joe Sloan in Mercer, MO and they later divorced. On November 27, 1996, she married Mike Birdsall and he survives at their home.
Janice grew up in Allerton, IA and graduated from Allerton High School with the class of 1961. She was always active in various volunteer organizations while working in insurance, among other occupations throughout her life. It was always very important to do her very best at anything she set her mind to.
She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and always made time for anyone or anything in need. She never knew a stranger and was never at a loss for words. Her reassuring that “everything will always be okay” will never be forgotten. No doubt in her family’s minds that she was one of a kind.
