Janice Jean Stodola's Obituary
Janice Jean Stodola, age 70, of Chanute, KS passed away on November 1, 2018 at the NMRMC in Chanute. She was born in Omaha, NE on March 23, 1948, the daughter of Carl and Vivian (Holland) Lollar.
Janice grew up in Omaha, NE and attended South High School. In 1968, she was joined in marriage to Andrew Stodola, he preceded her in death.
She lived her life helping others, which also extended to her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Janice was a strong woman of faith and had a second “family” at the Church of Christ in Chanute. Janice was quick with a smile and made everyone she met more comfortable. Janice loved her grandchildren abundantly and loved to watch them be involved in sporting and school events.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Stodola and his wife Shannon, their children Jessica and Sarah. A son, Thomas Stodola and his wife Diane, their children Alex and Jenna. A daughter, Vicki Brooks and her husband Mike, their children Kait and Mason. Twin sister, Joyce Hollenbeck, her children, Scott Hollenbeck and his husband Josh; Bill Hollenbeck; Aaron Hollenbeck and his wife Allison. Sisters, Diane Dooley and Wanda Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Carl Lollar Jr.
A visitation will be on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 10:30 a.m. Cremation has been requested following the service. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
