Janice Kay Wolfe's Obituary
Janice Kay (Moerer) Wolfe, age 59, of Petrolia, Kansas, passed away at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center on Monday, August 14, 2017. Janice was born on June 5, 1958 in Ft. Scott, KS to George and Ollie (Cox) Moerer, Jr.
On August 3, 1979, Janice married Rick Wolfe in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives her at the home.
Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She loved taking cruises and was always willing to help anyone. Her grandkids nicknamed her the “Cookie Lady.” Janice was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, where she was Past President and held nearly every office, as well as the VFW and Lady Elks. She worked at Neosho County Community College as the director of Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP), and proudly started the RSVP Veteran’s Program and enjoyed watching its growth. She was a member of First Christian Church in Chanute, Kansas.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Moerer.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Johnson Chapel. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at First Christian Church in Chanute, KS. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS.
