Dear Alice, Gary, children and Greg,
When I heard the news of Janis' passing, I was saddened as I thought of your loss. You have my sympathy as you face the days ahead without her. It brought memories of school to me also, like Tammy and Sara have written. Also for Sanford, being in Greg's class. I remember riding the bus with Janis when you lived out there at the Gray County Feedyard. She was a dear school chum of mine in Junior High. We enjoyed fresh snickerdoodle cookies that she made when I went to her house after school, which were her favorite cookie back then. I think of her every time I make them. Alice, I remember you and Janis and your friendly smiles whenever I would come to the bank when you both worked there. It just hardly seems possible that someone from our age group should be gone! Thinking of you with love and prayers!

Dear Gary, Alice, Christi, Chance and Greg
I am so sorry for your loss. Janis was such a mini me to her mom Alice! I so loved her laugh, her sense of humor that was as warped as mine lol. I remember in Nov or Dec i put a call out on Facebook for a Sports Illustrated with Colin Klein on the front because our area had sold out in 10 minutes. Janis hollered at me and said she was in Wichita on the way to Cimarron and found some! She picked me up a few and brought them to my house because the day i was looking for them I had just gotten drove up on top of by my Truck. So of course she brought them to my house, we had a visit that of course involved quiestions and laughs to how I could run over myself and not be in my truck.
We laughed a lot that day and it was the last day i ever saw you. At least it was a time you were teasing me and we laughed so much.
I know you all will have no idea how to continue with out your wife, mother, daughter and sister. Her life was full, but far too short. I hope you can lean on your friends and faith.
I am so sorry she had to leave you all so soon.

Dear Gary, Alice, Chance, Christy and Family,

Like Tammy this is the most difficult letter i have ever written. Janis has been my friend for a long time. i remember meeting her when she moved to Cimarron when we were in 5th grade. From the time Tammy, Janis and I became such good friends and were always hanging out together we could always pick up from where we left off and it was just like we had never skipped a beat. That was how our friendship worked and it was wonderful. Janis had a wicked sense of humor, a great love of family and friends and enjoyed outdoor activities and animals. I remember she loved cats, dogs and her having hamsters. We had lots of fun cruising, going to movies, etc. when we were teenagers but we a great time in high school in band, pep club, and whatever else we were up to. She has raised to neat kids and has enjoyed her grand children so much. I feel so sorry that she won't be here to watch them grow with the rest of her family. There will definitely be a big hole that no one else can fill. Janis, my friend, you will be sorely missed by many and I am grateful to have had you for my friend. Love you always. Gary, Christi, Chance, Alice and families,

We were saddened to learn of your loss. Janis was a very kind hearted lady and know she will be missed so much. I enjoyed the time that she spent being a para for us before Gary and her left Cimarron. She was so patient with our students.

I know it doesn't seem like life will go on right now, but keep those great memories, each other and your faith close to you! Things will never be the same but you will be with her again someday. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers! Love and hugs to you all!

I know this is the hardest condolence I have ever done. Janis and I have been friends since grade school. Sara, Janis and I did everything together. If one girl was gone we would have to field questions all day about if something was wrong, We covered for each other and laughed together and bitched together, Janis had a seabring car that we cruised Wyatt Earp in all the time. Whenever we were in that car we always meet some cute boys. But we grew up went to college, married, had chidren and different lives but we never lost each other. I HAVE LOST PART OF MYSELF. You will never be far from my thoughts. LOVE YOU AND WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU.
