Jeffery Lynn Redd's Obituary
Jeffery Lynn Redd, age 53, was born on October 23, 1960 to Edward and Frances Redd in Panama City, Florida. Much of his life was spent in the care of the State of Oklahoma at the State School in Enid, Oklahoma. At about the age of 21 he was transferred to the Rainbow Terrance Nursing Home in Weleetka, Oklahoma where the staff there became his family. He was loved and cared for by great staff of individuals that loved him as he was their own son.
Jeff died Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a brief illness and had his sister Nadine Redd by his side as he took his last breath, crossing over to be with his mother and father above in heaven.
Jeff was preceded by his parents Frances Redd and Edward Redd. Jeff leaves behind four siblings: three brothers, Lee Redd of Elk City, Oklahoma; Mackie Redd of Tucson, Arizona; Phillip Redd of Ft Morgan, Colorado and a sister Nadine Redd of Kansas City, Kansas.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Moline Cemetery in Moline, Kansas where he will be laid to rest next to his mother. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to a hospice of your choice and may be left with the funeral home.
