Jerry Allan Cooley's Obituary
Jerry Allan Cooley, age 63, of Longton, Kansas passed away Monday, October 8, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kansas. He was born on March 8, 1944 in Eureka, Kansas the son of Jack and Helen (Osborn) Cooley.
Jerry served in the United States Air Force for six years. He then joined the National Guard and retired in December 1994.
On October 20, 1967 Jerry was united in marriage to Ginger Edwards in Howard, Kansas.
Jerry was a member of the NRA and enjoyed model trains.
Jerry was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his wife Ginger of the home, three sons; Jerrod and Gordon Cooley both of Independence, Kansas and Timothy Cooley of Neodesha, Kansas, three daughters; Patricia Cooley and Belinda Corle both of Longton, Kansas, and Charity Dowell of Elk Falls, Kansas, two brothers; Doug Cooley of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and Del Cooley of Wichita, Kansas, one sister Brenda Burnett of Wichita, Kansas and 10 grandchildren with one on the way.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Elk Falls Cemetery. There is no formal visitation. Contributions are suggested to Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left in care of Countryside Funeral Home, P.O. Box 247, Fredonia, KS 67349.
