My wife and I loved coming in to visit Jerry, Tina, and his "Rubble" from Pennsylvania. They were such great hosts and so much fun to spend time with. The whole family just made you feel welcomed and good. We'll miss Jerry very much and hope to see Tina soon. Fred & Cheryl Scruton

I loved to listen to Jerry’s stories! His slow, drawn out way of talking and the way he’d get tickled telling them always brightened my day. He will be missed for sure! Prayers to you all, Bev Signer
Jerry was one of my Dad's favorite Howard people. He told me many times about " Jerry's Little Opry " and how much fun they all had making music together in Howard. When Dad passed away in 2009, I asked Jerry if He would be a Pall Bearer which He graciously agreed to do. I've always felt very grateful for that. Rest in peace Jerry.
Jerry was a wonderful person who enjoyed life. Loved to hear the music he played. He will be missed.

My dad, Jim, told us kids that Jerry would ride to school with them on horseback. It was a country school West of Howard. My earliest recollection of Jerry was a day back in the late 60's or early 70's when he came over to Oak Valley to hunt quail with my dad. If I recall he also brought Tina and the girls. My dad and Jerry were very good friends all throughout life. When my dad retired from the Coop grain elevator a party was given for him. Jerry came for sure. He made dad a gag gift and presented it to him at the party. It was what he called "a cat carrier". Jerry's cat carrier didn't have PETA'S approval, haha. Jerry was a good family friend to all of us Nichols folks. He was a great husband, father, granddad, neighbor and friend. I know Jerry is truly home now!
