Jerry Wincle's Obituary
Jerry Wincle, 81, of Benedict, KS, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Morningstar Care Home in Fredonia. Jerry was born in rural Vian, OK., on July 17, 1944, the son of Ruby Fields.
Jerry served in the US Army and was proud of his Cherokee heritage. He was stationed in Germany and later returned home after receiving his honorable discharge. While in Germany, Jerry met & loved Gudrun Böhm. After Germany, Jerry married Rosa Mae Dennis, then later Jerry married Sherryl Earlene Parsons. They began their life together and built their family until her death of December 28, 2021.
Jerry was a true outdoorsman, who enjoyed going fishing, hunting, and being out in the open. He worked as a welder by trade, liked doing mechanical work on cars, and had the patience and ability to do blue smithing and rebuilding of antique guns. He was a legacy member of the local VFW, and American Legion. His telling of stories and love for his family will be greatly missed.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, wife Sherryl, a daughter Trisha Wincle, a brother Wayne Wallace, an Aunt Dale Morris and lifelong friend Bill Leaf.
Cremation has been requested, a Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 1-3 pm at the funeral home.
