Jimmy Leon Henson's Obituary
Jimmy Leon Henson, age 66, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita. Jim was born July 21, 1943, in Parsons, Kansas to Donald Carlos and Marjorie Colene (Colton) Henson.
Jim married Nita Linder on June 5, 1964 in Fredonia, Kansas. Jim and Nita were married for 46 years, Nita survives at their home.
Jim had worked for the Kansas Department of Wildlife for several years in the maintenance department. Jim was a member of the V.F.W., he enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing dominoes and going camping with his family. Jim enjoyed being outdoors, working with multiple craft projects and building bird houses. Jim enjoyed visiting with friends and being with his family.

10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his daughter Sonia Henson and sister Nancy Carr.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Countryside Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Fredonia City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday July 5, 2010 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the American Kidney Foundation and may be left with the funeral home.
