So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. I worked with Mike at Nu-wa and enjoyed everyday we shared at work. When Mike was in a terrible crash on his motorcycle, I felt so bad for him. I went to visit him one day after I got off at nu-way, his Mother was there with him, we had a nice visit. I told my daughter about Mike and she decided to give him some encouragement to not give up after his accident. She wrote Christopher Reeve (Superman, actor)and told him about needing some words of encouragement from someone who would know what he was going through. Christopher was also living with paralysis from an accident. Christopher by the help of his wife writing for him, wrote Mike a very nice letter and also an autographed picture of himself. I delivered that special letter to Mike when my daughter received it in the mail. When I arrived at Mike's house he was sitting in his wheelchair on his front porch with a friend, I believe it was Andy Finley if I remember right. I told Mike the big brown envelope was his gift from my daughter and myself and a very special person. I did not tell him who, I just let him open it and pull out the picture and the letter. He was grinning from ear to ear, he started reading, and the tears started. He was pretty pleased with the encouraging letter from Christopher Reeves and I was glad to see him happy in that moment. To the family of Mike, you had a wonderful person there, everyone liked him. He will be missed I'm sure. But I keep thinking he is up there in heaven with "Superman" and grinning from ear to ear. God Bless you all!
