It is with great sadness I heard of John's passing. He was one of my best friends when we were youngsters. I have so many fond memories including rag tag at Roger's house, playing combat, riding our bikes all over the place, playing baseball, roller skating, among many others. It had been years since we saw each other when we met at one of our high school reunions a few years back and it felt great to catch up again.
My condolences to the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I will remember John in flooded timber shooting mallards.
May John R.I.P. We've always considered John such a gentleman, friend, and all around interesting/fun person. Always a pleasure to do business with and to know. God took this young man much too soon. Our prayers and sympathy goes out for John and his entire family and his many friends.

I was deeply saddened when I received a call from Steve Fulps saying John has passed away. I was the full time technician for the Chanute National Guard unit from 1967 thru 1978. John was a model soldier. Together with John Slocum they organized a very professional color guard which presided in many state wide military functions. John and John were the first individuals to greet me when I returned home in 1983 for the death of my father. His father, John Jr., was the commander of the Chanute unit and gave me my oath of enlistment in 1963. I was in attendance when John Jr. administered the enlistment oath to John Arch at the Chanute Armory. I'm very sorry that I cannot attend the funeral on Monday due to my recent heart attack. My deepest sympathy to the Jensen family.

Sending prayers and comfort to John's family from The Graduating Class of 1971. John was always a friendly and polite person then and to his last days. Served the community of Chanute very well.
