Joseph E. "Joe" Dorn's Obituary
Joseph Edward Dorn, 78, of Temple, TX., died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at a nursing facility in Temple. He was born on September 14, 1935 in Ottumwa, IA to Charles and Gladys (Pumroy) Dorn.
He was married to Shirly Darlene Harvey, and she preceded him in death. Joe served in the U.S. Air Force, having attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant upon his retirement.
Joe is survived by three sons, Mike Dorn and wife Patty of Houston, TX, Jon Dorn of Troy, TX and Chuck Dorn of Austin, TX. One daughter Teresa Dorn of Austin, TX and sisters Pat, Bonnie, and Diana; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia with Pastor Robin Haines officiating. Burial will follow at the Buffalo Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
