Joshua Wayne Capps Sr.'s Obituary
Joshua Wayne Capps, Sr., 42, of Cedarvale, Kansas passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 18, 2023. Joshua was born on March 24, 1981 in Lakin, Kansas, the son of Sue Capps.
Joshua grew up in Chanute and attended the local schools. Joshua was an ornery guy that loved to prank people. He really enjoyed fishing and loved cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. Joshua also had a love hate relationship with vehicles and even though he loved working on them, he also hated it at the same time.
Joshua will always be remembered as a man that loved his children and his family, and would not turn down a chance to drive down country roads. Joshua is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Joshua is survived by his mother Sue Capps of Eureka, KS, his children: Joshua Capps Jr. of Humboldt, KS, Jacob Capps of Latham, KS, Kaydon Capps of Thayer, KS, and Emily Daniels of Erie, KS, his sisters Delana Capps of Wichita, KS and Holly Ballin of Iola, KS, and his grandson Braydon Capps.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Chanute. Memorials have been suggested to Shriner’s Hospital and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
