Juanita Thelma Chandler, age 92, of Chanute, KS passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Heritage Healthcare in Chanute, KS. She was born on December 14, 1926 in Chanute, KS the daughter of Ira and Clovie (Kustonborder) Petty. Juanita attended Roosevelt school in Chanute, KS.
Juanita married Foy A. Chandler in Chanute, KS. She worked as a seamstress for many years at the clothing factory in Chanute. She enjoyed quilting and reading books. Juanita was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Foy; parents; daughter, Charlotte Moore; son, David Chandler and 7 brothers and sisters.
The family will greet friends and family on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. Cremation will follow. The family suggests memorials to be made to American Cancer Society and Alzheimer’s Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
