Juanita M. Miller's Obituary
Juanita M. Miller, age 95 of Moline, KS, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield, KS.
Juanita was born June 26, 1925 in Howard, KS to Howard and Hazel (Hope) Estep. She grew up in Howard, alongside 1 brother and 2 sisters, and graduated from Howard High School in 1943.
Soon after graduating high school, Juanita married Melvin Miller in Columbus, KS on September 27, 1943. They moved from Howard to Moline, KS shortly after marriage, and raised 2 children together. They shared 69 years together, until his passing in 2013.
Juanita was a faithful, Christian mother. Her life revolved around the two most important things to her, her family and her church. She was a member of the Moline Baptist Church, where she was active as a Sunday school teacher, and choir leader for many years. She was also a member of the Music and Literary Club in Moline, and helped out with the American Legion Auxiliary.
She loved being a mom and grandma to all her family. She made every one of them feel special, and each and every one of her grandchildren knows that they are her favorite.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin, son Gregory Miller, sister’s Velma Boone and Phyllis Davison, and brother Phillip “Bud” Estep.
Funeral services for Juanita will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Moline First Baptist Church, Moline, KS
Interment will follow in Moline City Cemetery
Memorial contributions can be made to the Moline First Baptist Church and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
