Judith “Judy” Kay Haley, age 71, of Buffalo, KS, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 in Wichita, KS. Judy was born on January 5, 1945 in Huntsville, MO to William Chester and Rebecca Mildred (Howard) Griffin.
On April 4, 1964, Judy married Larry Haley in Mt. Airy, MO. He survives her at their home.
Judy was a hard worker and although she did work as a bookkeeper for many years she was at heart, a rancher. She worked as a partner with her husband to raise prize winning longhorn cattle on their ranch in Buffalo. She loved to travel and did so quite often taking her family and her cattle to shows all across the nation. In her free time she enjoyed going to auctions and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was also known for her cooking which she enjoyed doing for family and friends alike.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Vogan.
Cremation has been requested. A Memorial Service will be held at the Buffalo United Methodist Church in Buffalo, KS on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home, Gibson Chapel on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. Inurnment will be at Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo. Memorials have been suggested to the Buffalo United Methodist Church or the First Baptist Church in Chanute and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
