Judy Helen Dunn's Obituary
Judy Helen Dunn, 68, of Altoona, KS, passed away at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center on February 11, 2019. She was born in Thayer, KS to Ralph and Sylvia (Moore) Wingate on November 12, 1950. Judy married Pervy “Wayne” Dunn in Wichita, KS on October 30, 1973. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2009.
Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was all about her family and strived to always keep them together, and close. She earned her associate’s in business from Independence Community College and was a secretary in the pharmaceutical field. Judy was very proud to have homeschooled all of her children and some of her grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved reading books and enjoying the music of the Gaithers. Judy was often teased for doing things on her own time, and often being late to the places she went. She was a faithful member of Faith Bible Church in Chanute.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Wayne.
A visitation will be on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home-Gibson Chapel, 16 N. Forest, Chanute, KS. Funeral service will be on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home-Gibson Chapel. Interment will take place at Harrison Cemetery in Thayer, KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. The family suggests memorials be made to Faith Bible Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 16 N. Forest, Chanute, KS 66720.
