Judy Lee Wilson's Obituary
Judy Lee Wilson, age 70, a resident of Atlanta, Kansas passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, Kansas. She was born on April 20, 1943 in DeQuincy, Louisiana the daughter of Ralph and Esther (Foster) Lewis.
On July 23, 1986 Judy was united in marriage to Jim Wilson in Arkansas City, Kansas. Judy worked in sales for many radio stations over the years. She also was an owner / operator of the Branding Iron Café; she drove for the Council on Aging and also worked for the Census Bureau. Judy was a representative of the Atlanta and Burden Senior Citizens, and a member of the Latham Community Church. Judy was the leader for the Polo 4-H Club in Atlanta, member of the CDO, Crime Stoppers board member, an active member of AQHA, FQHR, and ADGA.
Judy is survived by her husband Jim Wilson of Atlanta, Kansas, daughter Hope Harris of Arkansas City, Kansas, daughters-in-law Michelle Chambers of Houston, Texas and Kelly Hull of Cambridge, Kansas, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Darren Chambers and brother Ralph Lewis Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Latham Community Church in Latham, Kansas. Interment will be at Atlanta Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Polo 4-H Club and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home in Howard.
