Julie Leann Schoonover's Obituary
Julie Leann Schoonover age 45 of Chanute passed away Sunday September 25th, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Julie was born on August 7th, 1971 in Chanute KS. She is the daughter of Carl L and Marie (Stone) Schoonover.
After earning an Associate’s degree from Emporia State University, she worked with her dad, which was also her best friend, at Barrett Transport for many years. Most recently she worked at Community National Bank in Chanute. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family especially during the holidays.
Julie was a smart detail oriented planner. She was a confidant to her many nieces and nephews and a shoulder to lean on for her family and friends.
She is survived by the love of her life Chad Burk and their two fur babies Scout and Betsy Ross. She is also survived by her mother Marie Schoonover, sisters Deanna Hutchison and husband Steve, Teresa Starr and her fiancé Charles Morse, and Toni Schomaker. And brother in laws David Starr and Phillip Coronado.
She is preceded in death by her father Carl Schoonover. A celebration of life will be held at the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Chanute Kansas on Friday September 30th, 2016 at 10am. A visitation will be held on Thursday September 29, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Chanute. Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to The Castaways Animal Shelter and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
