Karen Lea Cartwright's Obituary
Karen Lea Cartwright, age 57, passed away May 11, 2017 at her home in Eureka, KS surrounded by family.
Karen was born August 21, 1959 in Sterling, KS to Eugene and Patsy (Hamilton) Harrison. She worked for many years as a Press Operator for Goodyear Tire Company before moving to Eureka.
Karen enjoyed many things and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, loved to dance, play Texas Hold’em, enjoyed horses, played softball and spending time fishing with husband David.
Karen is survived by husband David at their home, Mother Patsy (Hamilton) Harrison of Eureka, Sons James Hulsopple of Carbondale and David E. Cartwright of Eureka, Daughters Bobbie Fender of Carbondale and Linda Bryant of El Dorado, Brother Randy Harrison of Vassar, Sisters Brenda Durkin of Eureka, Kathy Pfannenstiel of Carbondale, Rhonda Newman of Eureka, Kim Timmons of Auburn, and Tammy Harrison of Topeka, and 11 grandchildren.
Karen was proceeded in death by her father, Eugen Harrison.
Cremation has been requested and the family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Susan B. Allen Cancer Center in memory of Karen and can be mailed to or left with the Funeral Home. Services under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S. 20th – PO Box 247, Fredonia, KS 66736
