Karen Louise Miller's Obituary
Karen Louise Miller, age 64, a resident of Benedict, Kansas passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born on January 8, 1949 in Champaign, Illinois the daughter of Ernest and Edna (Rhodes) Jackson.
Karen’s family moved many times while she was growing up and she ended up graduating high school in Chandler Arizona.
Karen married Ledford Ray Miller on February 3, 1969 in Las Vegas Nevada. Karen and Ray moved to Benedict in 1994 and Karen worked as a CMA for Granvillas Assisted Living in Neodesha. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and in her down time putting puzzles together.
Karen is survived by her children, sons; Shannon Miller of Benedict, Sean Miller of Altoona, Shane Miller of Minnesota, daughter Terri Miller of New York, one brother Lee Jackson of Chandler, Az., two sisters Maria Beers of Wrangell, Alaska, Janet Lock, of Milton, Georgia, and five grandchildren.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Luke, and her husband Ray.
Cremation has taken place and the family will be holding their own private services at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Adopt-A-Family and may be sent to the funeral home.
