Kenneth Lee Good's Obituary
Kenneth Lee Good, age 73, of Chanute, KS passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. Kenneth was born February 1, 1941 in Oswego, KS, the son of Walter Hugh and Lucy Irene (Nading) Good.
He graduated from L.C.H.S. in Altamont, KS. On August 1, 1959 he married Kay Sheridan Shepard in Parsons, KS. Kenneth was self-employed as a plumber and was co-owner of Lamplighter’s Inc. He belonged to the Mason’s, Shriner’s and the Elks clubs over the years. He loved to hunt, especially with his hunting dogs. He also enjoyed fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Kay of the home; daughter, Deborah Ellis and husband William of Chanute, KS; son, Kenneth W. Good and wife Lori of Chanute, KS; brother, Hugh Good and wife Hazel of Oswego, KS; granddaughters, Misty Ellis of Wichita, KS, Kristy Bunker and husband Dustin of Chanute, KS, Ashley Ellis also of Chanute, Ks and his pride and joy, great-granddaughter Annistyn Bunker, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lucy; sister, Shirley Demott; and brother, Stephen Good.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014, 6-8p.m at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel. Interment will be a private family service held at a later date. The family suggests memorials to Westview Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
