L. Margaret Vandever's Obituary
L. Margaret Vandever, age 93, a former resident of Fredonia, Kansas passed away September 8, 2009 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born on December 23, 1915 in Fredonia the daughter of William “Bill†H. and Martha (Ditto) Loflin.
Margaret was a graduate of Fredonia High School. After high school she attended college in Wichita, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Lee Bartlett and he preceded her in death in 1966. Margaret married C. Rollin Vandever in 1997 and he preceded her in death in 2007.
She is survived by her daughter Linda McWilliams and her husband Donald of Omaha, Nebraska, two sons; William Bartlett of Omaha, Nebraska and Maurice Bartlett and his wife Patricia of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, two step-daughters; Kathy Vandever of Wichita, Kansas and Christina Alexander and her husband Randy of Denver, Colorado, one sister Billie Scanlin of Palm Springs, California, and eleven grandchildren.
Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Pastor Charlotte Coates Officiating.
