L Ruth Hall's Obituary
Linnie “Ruth†Hall, age 82, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Golden Living Center Nursing Home in Fredonia, Kansas. Ruth was born on December 15, 1925 on the family farm in rural Elk County near Upola, Kansas the daughter of George Walter and Minnie Rosella (Martin) Hoyt.
Ruth was a homemaker. From 1972 until 1994 Ruth was self employed in the home health care assisting others. Ruth enjoyed cooking, crochet, and going to garage sales. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary VFW in Neodesha.
Ruth married Sidney William Joy in Eureka, Kansas and they later divorced, but to this union four children were born. In 1955 Ruth would be united in marriage to Dale Hall in Miami, Oklahoma and to this union one son was born.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Leroy Joy and Richard Hall both of Fredonia, Kansas, one nephew Charles North of Fredonia, ten grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale Hall in 1972, two sons, Jim and Bobby Joy, one daughter Katie Cohee, four sisters; Pearl North, Ruby Conley, Opal Craft, and Goldie Stewart, three brothers; George, Earl, and Everett Hoyt.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 2 to 8 with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Private family services will be held at a later date.
