Larry D. Payne's Obituary
Larry Dean Payne, age 69 of Fredonia, KS died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his home. Larry was born on July 1, 1946 at Benedict, KS the son of Arvell and Veola (Harris) Payne.
Larry was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1964, on December 30, 1965 Larry joined the US Army and served until 1971. On June 9, 1967 Larry married Margaret Maxwell, they have been married for 48 years. Margaret survives at their home.
Larry worked and retired from Lafarge Cement Plant as a Lab Tech. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed going to Colorado and riding ATV’s through the mountains, and skiing. He enjoyed playing golf, softball, and playing recreation basketball. He enjoyed going to Branson, working in his garden and loved looking at classic cars. The family request, if you are coming to the service, to bring your classic auto. Most of all, Larry loved being with his family.

4 Grandchildren: Lindsey and Ashlin Wait and Clayton and Callista Romans
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and Brother Wayne Payne
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, visitation will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to either the Ave of Flags or the Fredonia Pound Pals and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
