Larry Allen Truster's Obituary
Larry Allen Truster, 83, passed away at Heritage Health Care on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Larry was born on June 23, 1942 in Chanute Kansas to Burt and Mildred (Hill) Truster. He was the 5th of the 7 children.
Larry attended St Patrick's School until he attended Chanute High School where he graduated in 1960.
He married Phyllis (Brown) Truster in 1964 but later divorced. Larry is survived by his daughter Lisa Truster Clay and her son Dylan Clay. As well as his twin sisters Charlene Arthur and Marlene (Ron) Wiltse, his three sisters-in-law Carolyn Sue McMillian, Nancy Truster, Judy Truster and many nieces and nephews.
Larry worked for the Chanute Police Department for several years and then joined Clifton police force as the Chief of Police in Clifton, KS. Once he retired, he moved to Humboldt, KS where he lived for 25 years.
Larry adored his little dog Taco and they had many adventures including driving out to check on the river.
To celebrate his life Reciting of the Rosary for Larry will be held at 10:00 am on January 2nd, 2026 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Mass will immediately follow with burial at St Patrick's cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Patrick Catholic School.
