LaVada Marie Smoot, a long time Resident of Rural Wilson County departed this life Friday, November 24th, 2023, in Augusta, Kansas at the age of 88. Lavada was born June 18th, 1935, in Longton, Kansas to her Father Carl Kimzey and Read Obituary
Laveda was a very wonderful lady who had the rare quality of making everyone she came in contact with feel special. She loved Dan and Tim so very much and always beamed when she talked about them, which was a a lot. She will be missed by many.
Carl and Lavada were backyard neighbors to my parents. Lavada was the most generous, kind and helpful person I know. She was always ready with a bouquet or homemade goodie. Her sweet spirit was always uplifting and welcome.
I got to renew with Lavada when I was in the second grade in kck. Then we found easy other many year later her mother lived across the street from Jerry and I(Sue) Robinson in Buffalo. They was so nice to us .She will be missed. God Bless the remaining families.

Lavada had the kindest sole, she was so sweet & loved her family dearly. She was a part of my life through my sister Marilyn Kimzey, who was Lavada’s sister in law. I have heard so many stories of their trips together, Carl, Lavada, Pete & Marilyn were traveling buddies & kept some of their stories just between them. RIP sweet lady.
Aunt Lavada was one of the sweetest lady I ever met. I can remember as a little girl, dreaming that I would grow up to be a beautiful as Aunt Lavada. Well it didn't happen, I don't think anyone could have as kind of heart as she did. She was truly a beautiful soul.
