Lee Joy's Obituary
Lee Joy, 80, of Fredonia, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Lee was born on April 1, 1943, in Benedict, KS the son of Sidney and Ruth (Hoyt) Joy.
Lee joined the US Navy and upon his return, followed his dream of being a Country and Western singer, and playing his guitar, Lee traveled all over the United States with his band playing at numerous State fairs and concerts. Lee also played with singing legends Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and Mel Streets. Lee recorded 2 albums and one 45 record.
Lee also enjoyed buying and selling cars, raising bull dogs, and getting to shoot his guns. In 1964, Lee married Diana Robinson, and to this union they had 3 children. Lee and Diana later divorced. Lee was a huge supporter of helping save abused animals.

7 Grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Bobby Joy, Richard Hall and sister Katie Cohee.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 3-7 pm at the funeral home, cremation will follow. Memorials have been suggested to the ASPCA and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
