Leland John Puckett's Obituary
Leland John Puckett age 74, died Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the Freeman Heart Institute in Joplin, MO. Leland was born on February 16, 1944 in Fredonia, KS the son of John Carl and Twilla (Mitchell) Puckett.
Leland was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1962. He worked at J.I. Case where he was a machinist until his retirement. He also owned and operated Lee’s Backhoe Service in Grove, OK. Leland served in the United States Army National Guard. Leland loved rebuilding and looking at old cars, he would travel to different states to either enter car shows, or just look at the cars on display, as well as boating and other outdoor activities.
In August of 2011, Leland and Karen Engstrom became a couple. They would travel to Branson to car shows, rebuild cars together, and spend time at the Sheppard of the Hills Car Shows in Branson. Leland loved being at the lake at their home in Grove, OK. Leland was the life of the party, but most importantly, loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends.

Jerret Vance Puckett and wife Kelly of Wichita, KS
Grandchildren: Elocin, Ella, and Evan Puckett and Madison and Molly Kidd.
Leland was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers Steve Puckett and Chet Puckett.
Cremation has been requested. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 28th, 2018 at Little Sandy Cemetery, at 11:00 am, then friends and family are requested to travel over to the Puckett Farm for a Celebration of Life.
