Leona May House's Obituary
Leona May House, age 67 passed away January 12, 2025 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas.
She was born in Neodesha, Kansas on March 10, 1957 to Hazel J. Willard and Virgil A. Willard. She later married on June 29, 1973 to Dale M. Neese in Eureka, Kansas. They had 4 children and later divorced. She worked as a CNA at Beverly Health Care in Fredonia and later retired. In her free time, she loved baking and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca Busby (Matt Smith), Brenda (Ricky) Cook, Dale Neese and Virgil Neese, 12 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, several cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel J. Willard, father, Virgil A. Willard, sister, Barbara J. Jackson, nephew, Joseph S. Jackson, aunt, Betty J. Smith, uncle, Gerald E. Smith (Gene) and brother-in-law, Bobby Jackson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church, 209 S. Lincoln Ave., Chanute, KS 66720 on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 10:30 AM. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home.
