Leroy Ediger's Obituary
Leroy Ediger, 82 passed away peacefully at Heritage Healthcare and Rehab in Chanute, Kansas on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Leroy was born on March 28, 1942 to John and Evelyn Ediger in Latham, Kansas. Leroy served in the US Army from November 1965 to October 1968. He was stationed in Hawaii. He became a Kansas State Trooper in September of 1974 and retired in March of 2006. Leroy took great pride in being a Kansas State Trooper.
He married the loved of his life, Mary Bailey Gottes on July 1, 1995 in Chanute, Kansas. Leroy and Mary lived in Baxter Springs, Kansas for most of their marriage. The enjoyed going to the Kansas State Fair every year, listening to music, going to the casino, traveling and spending time with family. Leroy was proud of his Choctaw Heritage.
Leroy is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Mary. He was a loving grandpa to Joshua Gottes, wife Erin and Delaney Gottes.
A graveside service will take place at Earlton Cemetery on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 11:00am.
