Lillian Lucille Kill's Obituary
Lillian Lucille Kill, age 89, a resident of Longton, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at her home. Lillian was born on June 30, 1920 at Upola, Kansas the daughter of Albert Lester and Lillian May (Campbell) Hastings.
Lillian was a graduate of Longton High School class of 1938. On August 10, 1942 Lillian was united in marriage to Karl Raymond Kill in Moline, Kansas. She worked for many years at ACC in Independence, Kansas as a supervisor. Lillian also worked for Green Thumb in Longton delivering meals. She enjoyed doing needle work, fishing, and cooking meals for her family. Lillian was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas.
Lillian is survived by one daughter Karla Blackburn and her husband Glen of Longton, Kansas, two sons Thomas Kill and his wife Linda of Coffeyville, Kansas and Bradley Kill and his wife Debra of Longton, Kansas, six grandchildren; Thomas, Rebecca, Tyson, Scott, Benjamin, Prestyn and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Karl, three brothers; Roy, Merle, and Harold.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Moline, Kansas. Viewing will be Tuesday from 9 am to 5 pm at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to either Longton Senior Center or Longton Public Library and may be left in care of the funeral home.
