Linda Sue Appelhans' Obituary
Linda "Sue" Appelhans age 69 of Fredonia, died Monday, July 24, 2017 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. Sue was born on July 30, 1947 in Independence, Kansas, the daughter of Clarice Albert and Georgia Lee (McArthur) Bracken.
Sue was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1965, she then obtained her Bachelor's Degree and taught school at Fredonia School District until retirement. Sue was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia and was active with the Altar Society. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, she was a great cook. Most of all, Sue loved her family and enjoyed watching her children and then her grandchildren play sports and other school activities.
On July 30, 1971 Sue married Larry Appelhans in Garden City, Kansas. Sue and Larry were married for 45 years, Larry survives at their home.

Tom Bracken and wife Donita of Fredonia, KS
13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia, with burial to follow at Weakley Cemetery, at New Albany. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia with Rosary being held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
