Linda Sue Jensen-Shipp's Obituary
Linda Sue Jensen-Shipp, 74, of Chanute, KS passed away peacefully at her home on April 18, 2018. She was born to Clifford and Ruth (Bacon) Burtnett in Springfield, MO on July 20, 1943. Linda married James T. Jensen, Sr. in Erie, KS in 1967 and he preceded her in death in 1999. She then married Raymond Shipp on December 7, 2002 in Erie, KS. He survives at their home.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very hard worker and was proud that she worked for the same company her entire working life, even being transferred to Colorado before moving back to Chanute and retiring. She loved knitting, often making afghans for loved ones, and was a huge football fan, especially when it came to her beloved Denver Broncos. She will be missed by many.

A visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home – Johnson Chapel in Chanute, KS on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Johnson Chapel in Chanute, KS. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to help defray funeral expenses and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home 101 N.
