Lois Irene Burt's Obituary
Lois Irene Burt of Chanute passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014, in Chanute, KS. Lois was born January 31, 1928 in Neodesha, KS, the daughter of John and Myrl (Hurst) Fairchild.
Lois married Esker Burt and was married to him for 54 years before Esker passed away in 2002. Lois enjoyed oil painting and working on other craft projects. She loved working outside in her garden and going camping, and she enjoyed spending time with her family the most. Lois will be greatly missed.
Lois is survived by a sister Florine Cleaver, 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Esker, parents, a daughter: Pat Leroy, two sisters: Buela Salomon and Wilma Denninson, two brothers: Lawrence Fairchild and Marvin Fairchild, and great granddaughter Mercadeze Autumn Waggoner who passed away in 2005.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 23, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church of Chanute, KS. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery on 14th St. Visitation is on Monday December 22, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel on 101 N. Highland in Chanute, KS. Family suggests memorials to the SONshine Preschool at Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute, and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
