Lois Lorene McBride's Obituary
Lois Lorene McBride age 85 of Fredonia, died Friday, May 10, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha. Lois was born on May 24, 1933 in rural Fredonia the daughter of Joseph Sylvester and Eula (Noakes) Hendry.
Lois attended grade school at Green Valley, Gardner and Maple Grove Schools and graduated from Fredonia High School class of 1951. On December 7, 1952 in Fredonia, KS. Lois married William Moses McBride, they were married for 44 years until his death on February 6, 1997.
Lois has been a member of the Fredonia First Christian Church since 1947. As a lifelong member she served with CWF and as a Chi-Rho Youth Group Leader-Vacation Bible School and a deaconess. Lois worked at the Wilson Herndon Bakery after high school, then went on to be an Avon representative before taking up babysitting in her home for 23 years. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed quilting, embroidery and doing crochet work.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, and brother Donald Hendry.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church in Fredonia, with a private family burial to follow. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials have been suggested to either the Ronald McDonald House or the American Cancer Society and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
