Lois Media Ruby's Obituary
Lois Media Ruby, 87, of LaHarpe passed away at Moran Manor on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Lois was born on July 19, 1936 in Geneva, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Gladys (Reiter) Sherwood.
Lois grew up in Geneva and attended the local schools. In 1953, Lois married Samuel James Ruby at the Iola Courthouse. Lois and Samuel were married for 50 years until his passing on August 24, 2003.
Lois loved to bake, go to garage sales, and spend as much time as possible with her family. Lois was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Lois is survived by her two children: Samuel Ruby, Jr. of Iola, KS, and Carolyn Armes of Louisiana; her sister Rosie Johnson of Burlington, KS, her brother John Sherwood of LaHarpe, KS, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Samuel, daughter Marilyn Sanderson, son William Ruby, and siblings Kenneth, Chuck, Tally, Fred, and Betty.
