Lonnie Finley Morrow's Obituary
Lonnie Finely Morrow, age 82 of rural Altoona, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at his home. Lonnie was born July 22, 1933 to Orval and Pearl Morrow.
Lonnie grew up in and around Wilson County where he met his soul mate Rosetta Martin. They later married on July 18, 1953 in Girard, Kansas. Their union was blessed with five children Linda, Tom, Alan, Rhonda and Renee.
Lonnie worked as a logger since the age of fourteen. He loved being outdoors, taking care of his garden, fishing, setting outside with his dogs and eating homemade ice cream. Lonnie also enjoyed sharing stories and being around his family.
Lonnie is survived by his children; Linda Williams and husband Chester of Chanute, KS, Tom Morrow and wife Vicky of Altoona, KS, Alan Morrow and partner Josh Benco of Denver, CO, Rhonda Galloway and husband Neal of Humboldt, KS, Renee Morrow of Chanute, KS, sister; Darlene, 10 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Rosetta (Martin) Morrow, parents; Orval and Pearl, brothers; Roy, Harold, Boyd, Clifford, and one sister; Bonnie.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, July 7th, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at the Fredonia City Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to Castaways Animal Shelter and may be left with the funeral home.
