Lonnie Mark Weakley's Obituary
Lonnie Mark Weakley passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 in Arkansas City, KS. He was born August 12, 1957 to Vernon and Carol Fahler Weakley in Olathe, Kansas.
Lonnie graduated from ACCHS High School in Effingham, KS in 1976. In 1978, he married Becky Smith in Atchison, KS. To this union one son was born, Brandon Weakley. The marriage was later dissolved. In 1979 Lonnie moved to Arkansas City where he was a licensed plumber the rest of his life.
Lonnie was an avid dirt bike rider and knife collector. Lonnie was a good worker and was loved by family and friends alike. He was also a coach for special olympics basketball and little league baseball.
He is survived by one son: Brandon of Oskaloosa, KS,
Brothers: Kelly of Elk Falls and Kyle of Kansas City, KS
Mother: Carol Weakley of Howard, KS
Nieces: Devyn of Piedmont, KS, Lindsey of Ulysses, KS, and Laura of Wichita, KS
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Arkansas City, KS on Sunday, December 27th, 2015 from 5 to 7 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, KS on Monday, December 28th at 1:00 pm.
