Louise Yvonne Parker's Obituary
Louise Yvonne Parker, age 72, of Chanute, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at NMRMC, with her family by her side. Louise was born August 9, 1942 in Livermore, CA., the daughter of Louis and Frances (Mason) Smith. Louise was later adopted by Harold and Naomi Dickerson.
She graduated high school and earned a degree from Wichita Business College. Over the years she worked at several local businesses, and retired from Russell Stover. She married James Leroy in 1962, and they later divorced. She then married Bagher Bagherpour in 1979, they too, divorced. On November 3, 1989 she married her greatest love, Larry Parker. Larry passed away on December 6, 2011.
Louise was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist. She was an excellent cook and her grandchildren loved eating it.
Louise is survived by her children; Jimmie Leroy and significant other Greta Ingle of Humboldt, KS, Paul Leroy of Parsons, KS, Kenny Leroy of Parsons, KS, Debbie Root of Erie, KS, Darla Boudreaux and significant other Josh Hall of Humboldt, KS, step-children; Holly Parker and significant other Tom Teetzel of Edwardsville, KS, Poppy Lambay and husband Sam of St. Louis, MO, brothers; Norman Bostrom and wife JoAnn of Colorado Springs, CO., Dallas Dickerson of Humboldt, KS, Leon Dickerson and wife Dorothy of Stayton, OR, 18 granchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will be holding a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 4, 2014 2:00 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 909 W. 14th St., Chanute, Ks.
Family suggests memorials to the Seventh Day Adventist Church and may be sent directly to the church.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place in Kansas City at a later date.
