He was the youngest of three and cared deeply for his family.
Lyle married the love of his life, Naomi Ramsay, on August 22, 1952, at Chapel 3, Fort Lewis, Washington, where he was stationed in the Army. They shared 69 wonderful years together. Lyle was a dedicated trade master and found much joy in farming and raising cattle. He worked for the government through the ASCS office for several years. Lyle was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, and a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.
His wife, Naomi (Ramsay) Mellen; his parents; his two sisters, Crystal McAdam and Virginia Steele; and his seven brothers-in-law all preceded him in death. Also foregoing him in death were his sons-in-law Mason Leonard and Bill Hodges and a grandson-in-law Travis Alexander.
