Madge Marie Hebb's Obituary
Madge Marie Hebb passed away peacefully on Jan 27, 2010 at Azalea Trails Memory Care Unit in Tyler, Texas.
Madge was born on a farm near Severy, Kansas on January 23, 1922, one of seven children of Horace and Edith Copeland. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ted and Bill. Madge received a teaching certificate at Emporia State Teachers College and taught at Lower Paw Paw School near her parent's farm.
On August 24, 1944 she was married to Adron A. Hebb in Phenix City, Alabama. They settled in Howard, Kansas and remained there for 50 years. Madge and Adron moved to Tyler, Texas in 1995 and Adron passed away in September of 2002.
Madge was active in community organiztions including the First Baptist Church, American Legion Auxilary, and PEO. She also served as parent leader of countless children's clubs and projects including Cub Scouts, 4-H, Little League, Bible School and other church youth programs.
Madge loved music and valued education, she instilled an appreciation of both in her children. She was an avid sports fan and attended countless sporting events watching and cheering her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday January 29, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the Stewart Funeral Home in Tyler, Texas. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2pm at the First Baptist Church in Howard.
