Madonna “Donna” Ann Cully, age 82, of Chanute, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Chanute, Kansas. Madonna was born on September 8, 1933 in Hoxie, KS the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Gerdes) Reinert.
Madonna married Bob Cully on June 20, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas. Bob survives her in death.
Madonna worked as a beauty operator for many years. She was a member and past president of both the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was part of the altar society there. Madonna liked to work in her garden especially working with her roses. She also enjoyed cooking vegetables from her garden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute, KS. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Ft. Scott National Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials in lieu of flowers, have been suggested to the St. Patrick Catholic School or the St. Patrick Catholic Church Building Fund and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
