Marable Bryan 's Obituary
Marable Bryan, age 87, a resident of Moline, Kansas passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at home. He was born on September 2, 1924 in Guthrie, Kentucky the son of Henry Chesterfield and Ruth King (Marable) Bryan.
On December 23, 1949, Marable was united in marriage to Virginia Ferry in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Marable worked for many years for Martin Marietta Rock Quarry and retired as a superintendent. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Moline and a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge and a 53 year member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Marable is survived by one son Steven Bryan and his wife Lyneva of Herington, Kansas, two daughters Pamela Bryan of LeRoy, Kansas and Peggy Weaver and her husband Glennis of Moline, Kansas, one sister Margaret Westerman of Guthrie, Kentucky and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia on December 15, 2011, one brother H.C. Bryan, Jr. and three sisters; Pauline McCormick, Chester Lee Cain and Joan Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Gary Boles officiating. Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be at Moline Cemetery. Family suggests contributions be made to the Wichita Humane Society or the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.
