Margaret H. "Peggy" Bunting's Obituary
Margaret H. “Peggy” (Headrick) Bunting, age 77, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at NMRMC in Chanute, KS. Peggy was born January 28, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of Raymond and Anna (Sistek) Headrick.
Peggy graduated from Holy Ghost Academy in 1955. On February 20, 1959, Peggy married Robert Bunting in Pittsburgh, PA. Peggy worked as a secretary for the KSU Extension Office in Chanute for 29 years before retiring. Peggy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Chanute and volunteered at St. Pat Bargain Store and Cherry Street Youth Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Anna, daughters: Genese Carrie Bunting Kuhlmann and Laurie Ann Bunting and son, Raymond Boyd Bunting.
Peggy is survived by her husband Robert, special family: Bart Kuhlmann and wife Joan of Burlington, KS, three grandchildren: Isaac, Grace and Max Kuhlmann and a brother, David F. Headrick of Houston, TX.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 5-7 p.m., at Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Chanute. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to the Cherry Street Youth Center, FireEscape Coffeehouse or the charity of your choice, and may be left with the funeral home.
