Marie Pearl Kirkpatrick's Obituary
Marie Pearl Kirkpatrick, age 88, a resident of Longton, Kansas passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Heritage Healthcare in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born on March 28, 1924 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma the daughter of Stephan Franklin and Helen Laura (Francisco) McCreary.
On November 22, 1949, Marie was united in marriage to James Elvin Kirkpatrick in Howard, Kansas. Marie kept the books for their oil, garage and convenience store businesses. In her spare time she enjoyed reading books from the Longton Public Library.
Marie is survived by her son Rodney Kirkpatrick and his wife Teressa of Longton, Kansas, one brother Max McCreary of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, one sister Thelma Howell of Sedan, Kansas and one granddaughter Crystal Kirkpatrick Bliss of Jetmore, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband James Kirkpatrick and one son Chelsea Lynn Kirkpatrick
A private family graveside funeral service will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at Crum Cemetery south of Longton, Kansas. Family suggests contributions be made to the Longton Public Library and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside - Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.
