Mark is my cousin. Although he is 8 years older than me, I always loved when he came to town. Some of my best memories are from family reunions at Meadowlake Park in Enid, Ok. The memory from those days that stands out the most for me are of the paddle boats. I would be so happy when he'd agree to go ride one with me, but within a few minutes on it, I'd regret my decision. Mark always thought it was funny to paddle the boat right up to the edge of the dam. I just knew we would fall over. He would laugh and paddle forward as I would try so hard to paddle backwards. Finally, our time limit would be up and we would have to go back to the dock. I would be so mad and tell him that I'd never ride with him again. He would grin that smirky smile and laugh. And of course, as soon as I got a chance to ride with him again, I would. I hated that dam but loved the attention from my older cousin. Mark will be missed.
