Martha Jean Baca's Obituary
Martha Jean Baca, age 68 of Fredonia, died January 30, 2014 at her home. Martha was born on July 12, 1945 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Eschal Allen and Nelda Jean (Head) Smith.
Martha was a graduate of Thayer High School, class of 1963. After high school she attended Wichita Business College and graduated in 1965. On December 23, 1977 in Wichita, KS Martha married Jose V. Baca. Martha and Jose were married for 36 years, Jose survives at their home.
Martha worked for G & W Grocery Store for more than 20 years. Martha was very family oriented, she opened her home to family and friends and making each occasion a celebration. She liked working out in the public and being around people. She enjoyed going to the lake and or pond just to watch people fish. She enjoyed special trips of going to casinos, and making meals for her family.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sue Vance and brother Bob Green.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. A private burial will be held at a later time. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 4, 2014 from 1-5 P.M. at the funeral home. The family has suggested memorials to Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
