Rev. Marvin Haskell Palmer
Rev. Marvin H. Palmer, age 75 of Fredonia, died Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, KS. The Rev. Palmer was born October 10, 1932, at Ardmore, OK to Charles and Lillie Dove (Cole) Palmer.
He proudly served in the US Army and worked at Barton Salt in Hutchinson before entering the ministry in 1967. He served the United Methodist Church for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He served churches in Geneseo, Spivey, Slyvia, Fowler, Kirwin, Luray, Glasco, Hoxie, Menlo, McGraw, Selden, Courtland, Montrose, Munden, Kansas and Guide Rock, Nebraska. He was a member of the Kansas West Conference and attended Fredonia United Methodist Church.
Marvin moved to Fredonia in 2005 from Ardmore, Oklahoma, he enjoyed fishing, dominoes, and his grandchildren. His favorite pastime was reading his bible. On November 4, 1960, he married Barbara Louise Trotter, she preceded him in death September of 2000.

He was preceded in death by parents, two brothers Charles and Gene and two sisters LaVada Hallmark and Margie Grieder.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 19, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Fredonia with Pastor Charlotte Coates officiating. Interment will be Saturday October 20, 2007 at Cole Cemetery in Ardmore, OK. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Fredonia United Methodist Church, and may be sent to the funeral home.
